Terno Rei took to the Primavera stage at the Primavera Sound Festival this Sunday the 6th in the Anhembi neighborhood of São Paulo. The band broke the festival’s political silence and “did the L” on stage.
The “L” with his hands became the symbol of support for Presidentelect Lula (PT). With this gesture, Ale Sater, singer, and Terno Rei made the first political demonstration of the festival. On Saturday there were no artistic manifestations and no choir from the audience.
However, the reaction of the audience was not exaggerated. Everyone shouted, but they didn’t join in the chorus for Lula or against President Jair Bolsonaro (PL), as has happened at music festivals in recent years.
This Sunday ends the first edition of Primavera Sound in Brazil. The stages will continue to host the night’s leads, Lorde and Travis Scott.
Don L does the L
A short time later, during the performance of “Elewood,” Brazilian rapper Don L joked about his name, the song title, and the political movement, and did the “L” on stage.
