This is the horrifying moment that captured a Canadian construction worker dangling from a crane at a construction site.
In the heartbreaking 39-second video, the unnamed Toronto man can be seen holding on to a slogan for his life as a boulder is lowered to the ground above him.
Two men, seemingly standing across from the worker at the site, can be heard screaming in a vain attempt to stop the machinery.
Meanwhile, the worker swings his legs in the air and holds on to the slogan with both hands while screaming in fear.
One of the witnesses bizarrely yells at the worker to “drop the hard hat,” pointing out that the equipment he refused to let go of would not help his fall.
The worker obeyed, dropping his hat as he continued his terrifying descent to the ground.

The man, who was unharmed after finally hitting the ground, is employed by PCL Constructors Canada and was working at a construction site on Front Street and Simcoe Street.
The company said the worker’s hand became tangled with a slogan after he attached a load to the crane. Canada’s Department of Labor has launched an investigation into the incident.
In the video, a shocked man can be heard saying, “How the hell did that happen?”
Another apparently tried to get the operator’s attention by telling him to stop the machine as the worker neared the ground, but was asked by the person standing next to him not to yell to avoid the not to worry workers.
‘Holy shit, Jesus Christ. tell someone [the operator] to stop before he gets crushed,” said one of the witnesses.

In a statement to Daily Commercial News, PCL Constructors Canada confirmed the man was an employee of the company.
“We can confirm that an incident occurred yesterday at our Front and Simcoe location where a rigger became entangled with a slogan after attaching a charge,” the statement said.
“Fortunately he was lowered safely onto the work surface and was not seriously injured. The safety of all workers and the community is our top priority. We are working with all relevant authorities and the incident is currently being investigated.’
