Terrifying moment: In Kuwait, children are thrown down a busy street on a giant bouncy slide after a gust of wind ripped them from their restraints

A group of children narrowly escaped with their lives when their bouncy castle was thrown into the middle of a busy road.

The near-disaster occurred at an undisclosed location in Kuwait when a strong gust of wind caught the inflatable structure and threw it onto a three-lane highway.

Footage captured by a shocked onlooker showed a child falling to the pavement just as the bouncy castle fell onto the street.

Then a car sped past, narrowly missing the dinghy as it rolled over on the asphalt and headed for the median.

Another boy jumps out of the dinghy as it reaches the median, where it is luckily brought to a halt by a lamppost and a billboard – the only obstacles that prevented the castle from being swept into the nearby sea.

The stunned boy gets up and runs back to the sidewalk opposite in front of slow-moving cars.

At the end, you see a worried adult running to the scene to pick up the children and bring them to safety.

A social media comment said: “A natural outcome for someone whose only concern in life is finding bargains and who has never thought about quality.”

But another user quickly countered: “It has nothing to do with the quality.” “They just didn't attach it to the ground properly.”

In July, a man was killed and his daughter was seriously injured in a shocking incident at a water park in France. The inflatable bouncy castle was thrown into the air in strong winds and was thrown about 150 feet.

The tragedy occurred at Wonderland Waterpark in Saint-Maximin-La-Sainte-Baume in the southern Var region of France, as the 35-year-old father and his three-year-old were on the inflatable raft on one of the park's biggest attractions.

Wonderland had recently reopened following work, but there were weather warnings in place for the area due to strong winds.

A gust lifted the castle out of the water and threw it violently across the park, trapping the victims inside.

They landed about 150 feet away and went into cardiac arrest.

The rescue workers were able to revive father and daughter and take them by plane to a hospital in Marseille, where they were taken to intensive care.

But the father later died from his injuries.

It comes a month after a nine-year-old playing in a Zorb ball suffered life-changing injuries when he was thrown 20ft in the air by a gust of wind before landing on the grass at the Southport Food and Drink Festival near Liverpool.

One onlooker said: “There was a gust of wind and the inflatable zorb flew out of the pool with the boy inside.”

“The Zorb then landed on a garbage can, the Zorb burst upon impact, leaving the boy on the ground.”

Paul Holmes was among onlookers who rushed to the boy's aid after witnessing the shocking accident.

The 43-year-old had just been enjoying the festival with his family when he noticed a slight breeze and looked around to see two Zorb balls in the sky.

He described the panicked scene to the Liverpool Echo: “We were just standing next to the zorb pit looking for something to eat.”

“In my peripheral vision I saw two of the Zorb balls rising into the sky and I screamed at the top of my lungs, 'There's a child in one of these balls, someone catch him.'
