The festival-goer had been attending an all-night party when the Hamas group opened fire on the crowd of around 3,000 people on Saturday morning, causing panic among participants who fled in all directions, according to American media.
However, according to a conversation with a relative, the woman managed to take refuge in a bomb shelter with about 35 other people before the group was found by Hamas fighters, who fired at them indiscriminately, particularly with grenades.
It wasn’t until seven hours later that help was reached and the ten animals that were still alive were able to leave the shelter.
“I contacted my family here and they found someone to come and save us. They were former soldiers […] And apparently the person who picked us up, his daughter, was also in the group. We were so lucky. It’s a miracle,” the festival-goer continued, according to the screenshots.
In total, at least 800 Israelis were reportedly killed and more than 2,000 injured in the attacks. According to the New York Post, more than 150 people, including tourists, are also being detained by Hamas.
