Terrorist campaign against Ukrainian civilians: 60 rockets in 72 hours. Centered (thanks to the help) Russian deposits

US Himars and German SPGs help Ukraine counterattack. Two Russian arms depots were hit. Army pressure on Lysychansk

The missiles

Continuing a proven tactic, Moscow launched new missiles, which also use naval units and strategic aircraft. One or more bombs hit a shopping mall in Khemerchuk, in the central part of the country. A fierce fire quickly developed, premature to provide a budget. The raid follows those on the capital itself and other locations far removed from where they are being fought. A campaign of terror. At least 60 rockets were fired for the Pentagon in 72 hours. An intensification, perhaps linked to the western summit, and an indirect response to NATO supplies. The Ukrainians, in turn, targeted Russian ammunition depots, one in Zymohirya and the other in Alchevsk. The hypothesis that they were hit by rockets or artillery fire. According to the experts, the achievements are attributed to the US-provided Himars and the German self-propelled PzH 2000, both of which were used on the ground for a few days. The destinations are clearly in the rear, so that they can only be reached with large ranges (approx. 50 kilometers). In a week, at least five key locations would have been bombed by the resistance arm, which had long called for adequate resources. Affect ammo supplies and impede enemy movements. US sources have revealed that Ukraine would also be armed with Excalibur, 155mm shells that allow for very accurate firing.

Maritime Front

Images of a possible new attack on Snake Island, now in Russian hands, have been circulating on the internet. Perhaps an anti-aircraft pantsir was destroyed. Kyiv may have deployed missiles while a Turkish-made TB2 drone recorded (or assisted) the mission. In this case, too, the use of guided missiles by the Himars, possibly stationed on the coast, was mentioned. It is difficult to say who is right, they are technical and in a way political aspects, because they underline the role of modern armaments and the need to guarantee them to Zelenskyy. Counter-narrative to refute the thesis that Western support would have limited effect. So two other aspects. The first concerns the arsenals. Each phase has its current weapon and now it’s up to the Himars, while there’s little talk of drone kamikaze, perhaps because they’re less suited to the current phase. Then there are the strategic data. The Black Sea outpost has been a critical point since the first days of the invasion, its control favoring the Kremlin’s naval blockade, the Tsar’s fleet has lost its flagship and other units defending it. Kyiv is not resigned, having impacted with limited resources and now has additional means (like Harpoon anti-ship defenses) to challenge enemy supremacy.

air shield

The White House could send Norwegian medium-range anti-aircraft Nasams. Launchers, radar, and support vehicles can be scattered across the ground, making them more difficult to locate. A contribution to the reinforcement of the often plagued Ukrainian shield: the defenders received systems for low altitudes – Stinger, Strela – and some S 300 for high altitudes, too few compared to the threat. The Russian Air Force did not intervene massively, but gradually intensified its attacks, especially in the eastern sector, where the army achieved success. In fact, the invaders continue to push towards Lysychansk, which is seen as the next leaf of Donbass to be wrested from Ukraine.
