Tesla Gigafactory at Texas Gigafactory gets final approval and tickets

Tesla Gigafactory at Texas Gigafactory gets final approval and tickets may continue shortly

Tesla’s Gigafest event at the new Gigafactory Texas Automobile Factory, just outside Austin, Texas, has received final approval from the Travis County Commissioner’s Court. With public comments and court voting officially approving the event, Tesla may begin sending invitations and publishing ticket requests.

The Travis County Secretary’s Court held a long meeting this morning on many community issues and concerns. Tesla’s Gigafest event consisted of two agenda items. One is for public comments heard by the court and commissioner Jeff Travilion, and the other is for voting. Both agenda items were completed shortly after lunch time, which ended at 1:30 pm local time in Austin.

There was no doubt that Tesla would be approved. All previous applications for events with significant rallies were unanimously approved. Tesla applied for 15,000 participants for the event, but was relatively unconcerned. The event was supported by both Travis County Fire Marshal Anthony Callaway and Travis County Sheriff Sally Hernandez.

“The review of the aforementioned document reflects that the event can meet the minimum standards in accordance with applicable state and county guidelines,” Callaway wrote in a letter to Travis County Judge Andy Brown. .. “The promoter has agreed to follow all Travis County event permit guidelines.

“The sheriff submits to the county judge a report showing whether the sheriff believes that the minimum standards for ensuring public security and order as stipulated by state and local laws, rules and orders will be maintained. “It’s supposed to be done,” Sheriff Hernandez wrote in a letter. Also for Judge Brown. “After reviewing the above plans, it is the opinion of the Travis County Sheriff’s Office staff and I, the Travis County Sheriff, that these plans meet the minimum standards set out in the law.”

Now that the event has been approved, Tesla will be able to send an invitation and open up potential ticket requests to the public. Tesla may have bypassed this step until the event was approved. This was another way for automakers to navigate, as production continues to grow at Austin’s new plant.

Gigafest will show Tesla fans and attendees a tour of the interior of the new factory, which began production of the Model Y crossover earlier this year. Tesla will hold an event on April 7th. According to a document found by Tesla in March, Tesla will welcome all age groups at the event, but attendees over the age of 21 who want to consume alcohol on the premises will be at the event.
