Tesla announced a recall of some of its newer vehicle models due to a possible brake fluid detection problem.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said the recall notice affects 55,000 of its Model X vehicles and can be resolved through a software update.
According to NHTSA, the vehicle may not detect a low brake fluid level and display a warning light.
“Without a warning light, the vehicle may be driven with low brake fluid levels, which may reduce braking performance and increase the risk of an accident,” the federal safety agency said.
