She continued, “She’ll never leave, I can’t think about it,” while pretending to sob in front of the rest of the panel.
Last month, Vernon said he didn’t want his children to live off his fame and that of his wife Tess, insisting they “make their own careers.”
He told Web that he is currently looking at acting schools to send Phoebe where she can combine her passions for acting and business.
Unlike some showbiz couples, Vernon and Tess believe it’s important for their offspring to “find themselves” and not get their “life on a plate,” and credits the couple’s Norse backgrounds for helping her beliefs shaped as parents.
Vernon said, “We let them be independent when it comes to them and their future because it’s important that you allow them to find themselves, which is character building and personality development.
“Sometimes I think that old silver spoon and life on a plate in front of it… I think that’s pretty contradictory to how you want it to be.
“Tess and I grew up in warm, healthy Nordic families and that’s a huge trait that has helped us in our personal development and I think that’s really important.”
He added, “I don’t disagree with anyone doing that by helping their kids, which is great, but I think sometimes for us personally, that’s what they’re getting into, they’re free to go and discover themselves.”
