Texts from the book fair will be donated to a school in Venezuela

Venezuela’s Minister of Culture, Ernesto Villegas, and his counterpart for Culture, Arts and Knowledge of Colombia, Juan David Correa, presided over the event, which was attended by students and teachers of the school, as well as Colombia’s Ambassador here, Milton Rengifo.

Correa is in this capital in the company of a large delegation of writers and book managers who are attending Filven to discuss the nomination of the country of New Granada as guest of honor.

Villegas explained that the visit to the educational unit was a response to the recognition of the work of the social leaders of Nuevo Horizonte and highlighted the brotherhood between the Bolivarian Republic and Colombia.

“It is about us having to overcome together the challenges, the dangers, the threats, the joys, the pains and the enthusiasm, the faith and the optimism that must accompany us to realize dreams and make them come true.” , he also said to the journalist.

Correa highlighted the work of the members of the Caracas community of Nuevo Horizonte because, in his opinion, they “show the way of what should be built together.”

The Colombian owner invited the residents of the Barrio Nuevo Horizonte to the book fair, which opened its doors to the public yesterday in El Laguito del Círculo Militar with a diverse and wide range of activities, including a pavilion for children.

On this occasion, the leader of the Afro-Venezuelan movement, Beatriz Aiffil, presented her book entitled “Venezuela zero racism”.
