Thailand: Body of missing German found in freezer in Pattaya

The body of a 62-year-old German businessman was found this Monday evening, July 10, in a city neighboring Pattaya in southern Thailand.

Weird discovery in a small house in Nong Prue, near Pattaya, a city in southern Thailand. On Monday July 10, the body of German real estate agent Hans-Peter Mack was found.

The 62-year-old had been missing since July 4 and was actively being sought by local police, the BBC reported. Investigators managed to follow the lead, and they found the dismembered body of the sixty-year-old, wrapped in a garbage bag, hidden in a freezer.

Investigators also found a chainsaw, scissors and plastic rollers at the crime scene.

Shortly before his disappearance, Hans-Peter Mack had arranged to meet his Thai wife for lunch. He never went there and his wife explained that she received text messages from her husband saying he was still with a client. An incident that gave him goosebumps, since he had never texted him in the five years they had been together.

The victim’s family immediately reported his disappearance and offered $86,000 to anyone with information on the matter. The victim’s car was found in the parking lot of a building in Nong Prue town last Sunday.

Two Germans, prime suspects in this murder case, were arrested. According to police, they deliberately committed the murder before dismembering and hiding the body.
