Thandiwe Newton is likely headed for rehab and has reportedly split from her husband Ol Parker, according to a new report.
The 49-year-old actress recently denied claims that she was fired from her starring role in Magic Mike 3 – and has since been replaced in the role by Salma Hayek – over a heated argument with co-star Channing Tatum.

Ol is a British filmmaker who previously directed the musical film Mamma Mia! Here we go again.
A source said: “Thandiwe was acting strange on set, she was very tense. Her apparent breakdown caused so much disruption that it became clear she couldn’t play the role.
“There is a lot going on in her personal life, she and her husband have split up. She seemed so stressed that she even brought her two pet rabbits to her hotel for emotional support.”

The Sun reported that the alleged argument between Thandiwe and Channing, which has been described as “unimaginably vicious”, was about Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars.
A spokesman for Warner Bros. Pictures said, “Thandiwe Newton has made the difficult decision to retire from producing Warner Bros. Pictures’ Magic Mike’s Last Dance to attend to family matters.”
The statement comes after insiders told The Sun that Thandiwe plans to sue Warner Bros studio bosses over the incident.
The argument reportedly took place at the Paddington location and culminated in Channing driving off the set in his car.
A source said: “Channing Tatum is the producer and number one on set. Thandiwe Newton is star number two. But after 11 days of shooting it’s all over.

“They argued about the Oscars debacle. I was on set. I watched her and watched him. They went in and out of the house where we were filming this confrontation.
‘After the argument he just said: ‘I don’t work with her anymore’. He’s a producer, it’s his movie, so she’s out of the movie.’
The source added that any scenes that were filmed with Thandiwe will now have to be reshot with Salma, while the film’s director Steven Soderbergh reportedly took no side in the dispute.
A Thandiwe spokesman told MailOnline: “This report is completely inaccurate.”

The actress was previously referred to as Thandie Newton before reverting to the original spelling of her name three decades after she was misspelled in her first film.
She revealed that Thandie was a careless misspelling in the credits of her first film – the 1991 Australian film Flirting starring Nicole Kidman and Noah Taylor – and has been stuck ever since.
‘That’s my name. It’s always been my name. I’m taking back what’s mine,” she told British Vogue in April 2021.
The original Magic Mike film premiered in 2012 and was loosely based on Channing’s experience as a stripper in Tampa, Florida.
The flick, starring Channing, Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello and Matthew McConaughey, revolved around Adam, a 19-year-old who was suddenly drawn into the world of male stripping.

The Magic Mike sequel, titled Magic Mike XXL, was directed by Gregory Jacobs and released in 2015.
Channing confirmed he will be reprising his role for Magic Mike’s Last Dance in November 2021.
In a recent interview with PEOPLE, he expressed that he would like the film to be like “the Super Bowl of stripping.”
“I want to dance like we never could in the other two movies because we had to be honest about the reality of this world that isn’t great dancing.”
He also spoke about the importance of the film having a female lead.
“I want to have an equal, if not more centralized, female character that Mike can really play off with and almost… I don’t want to say, [to have her] Take the baton, but really let the film be about a woman’s experience and not Mike’s because it was so much about Mike’s and the boys’ experiences.
“These films are very, very feminine. At least that is our intention.”
The film will premiere exclusively on HBO Max. The release date has yet to be announced.
