Hollywood loves celebrating Thanksgiving with its social media followers, and 2023 was no different.
On Thursday, stars posted on Instagram preparing for Turkey Day in their mega mansions with their loved ones nearby.
Some are busy in the kitchen putting the turkey in the oven, decorating the apple pie, showing off their fall decorations, or mixing drinks.
Others power walk to prepare for the big, calorie-packed feast, attend a soccer game with their friends, or watch the 97th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.

It’s one of the biggest holidays of the year, with nearly 300 million Americans eating a turkey dinner with all the fixings like mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts.
Lopez was seen making a Berry Punch with her brand Delola.
Earlier this month, she shared with Ben and the kids what the holidays will look like.
“I’ve always loved the holidays since I was a little girl, but I’ve really embraced them since having kids,” the former Fly Girl said this week.
“Baking cookies, decorations, dressing up, holiday music, giving gifts, seriously, I can’t get enough of it. But I definitely love spending quality time with family.”
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos were out with friends, including Priyanka Chopra Jonas, the day before Thanksgiving.
Chopra’s manager Anjula Acharia shared a selfie of her, Chopra, Ripa, Consuelos in New York City.
“We had such a warm and wonderful evening with our girl @priyankachopra who was in the city with friends and family ♥️,” Acharia wrote in the caption.
Also there were Huma Abedin, Kal Penn, Sarita Choudhury, Jay Sean, Thara Natalie and Furhan Ahmad. Ripa re-shared the photo with the comment, “Squad goals.”
Younger actress Hilary Duff baked an apple pie with her son Luca at home in Los Angeles.
Paris Hilton’s younger sister, Nicky Hilton, helped prepare meals this week.

There is also the tradition of watching the famous Macy’s Thanksgiving parade from New York City.
Around 3 million people are expected to attend the 97th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in Manhattan as the weather warms and skies clear.
Cher, Jessie James Decker, Ashley Park, Katharine McPhee and David Foster will all be there.

For the first time in its long history, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will begin 30 minutes early in New York and will be broadcast on official national television.
Featuring an exciting array of character balloons, magical floats, the best marching bands from across the country, dynamic performance groups, imaginative clowns, the country’s greatest musical talent and the one and only Santa Claus, this is the country’s premier Thanksgiving celebration.
“For nearly 100 years, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has been synonymous with the start of the holidays, celebration and togetherness,” said Will Coss, executive producer of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The 97th Macy’s Parade roster includes 5,000 volunteers, 16 character balloons, 26 amazing floats, 32 heritage and novelty balloons, more than 700 clowns, 12 marching bands and nine performance groups.

These Macy’s Parade events feature some of music’s biggest stars, all welcoming Santa Claus and the holidays.
Stars on 34th Street The Macy’s Parade is an all-star celebration featuring famous artists. The 97th Macy’s Parade will feature legendary star of music, film, stage and television, Cher, performing a new holiday hit and opening the season on 34th Street.
The broadcast begins at 8:30 a.m. and features a stunning performance from Jon Batiste. The streets of New York City and Macy’s signature floating stages will host rousing performances from artists such as Bell Biv DeVoe; Brandy; Chicago; In fashion; ENHYPEN; David Foster and Katharine McPhee; Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors; Jessie James Decker; Ashley Park with the Sesame Street cast and Muppets; Pentatonix; Paul Russell; Amanda Shaw and Alex Smith; and Manuel Turizo.
U.S. Olympic silver medalist Jordan Chiles (gymnastics), U.S. Paralympian Ezra Frech (track and field), U.S. Paralympics gold medalist Jessica Long (swimming) and Miss America 2023 Grace Stanke will also join the festivities .
On Thanksgiving, the parade’s signature character balloons will take to the air. Since their introduction in 1927, these larger-than-life balloons have featured some of the world’s most beloved and iconic characters.
This year, seven new balloons will be introduced, including Beagle Scout Snoopy from Peanuts Worldwide; Blue Cat & Chugs from Cool Cats, a digitally native character; Kung Fu Panda’s Po from Universal Pictures’ Dreamworks Animation; Leo from Netflix, Inc.; Monkey D. Luffy by Toei Animation Inc.; Pillsbury Doughboy by Pillsbury; and Uncle Dan from Illumination.

The 97th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will begin at 8:30 a.m. from its traditional starting line at 77th Street and Central Park West. The procession marches on its signature 2.5-mile route from Central Park West to Columbus Circle, then turns onto Central Park South and then marches down 6th Avenue/Avenue of the Americas. At 34th Street, the parade makes its final turn west and ends at 7th Avenue in front of Macy’s iconic Herald Square flagship.
There will be public viewing along designated sections of the route, managed by the NYPD. Spectators should not bring large bags, umbrellas, backpacks and strollers. A National Celebration Last year’s “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade” was the most-watched entertainment program of the 2022-23 season as it brought the nation together like no other program. Parade fans across the country can watch the official telecast on NBC and the simulcast on Peacock from 8:30 a.m. to noon in all time zones. The network will air an encore broadcast at 2:00 p.m. ET/PT. New for 2023 will be several additional cameras along the route, providing spectators with new, never-before-seen viewing points for the parade. TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker will host the Emmy® Awards ceremony. The Spanish-language simulcast on Telemundo will be hosted by the network’s daytime personalities Carlos Adyan and Andrea Meza.
