In an overheated Bell Center, Simon Le Bon and his gang brought their nostalgic boat to safety. They even allowed themselves detours to lesser-known melodies.
Audiences were treated to a decade-spanning epic, brilliantly executed by a group celebrating 40 years of history with their aptly named Future Past – 40th Anniversary Tour.

Duran Duran took the stage with a triumphant entrance and all the theatrics the group is capable of. They have lost none of their sense of staging.
While still in their early sixties, the members of the group achieved their breakthrough with their big hit “Hungry Like the Wolf”. John Taylor on bass wandered from one end of the stage to the other with the enthusiasm of a little boy discovering his sudden fame… As a bonus, we were treated to a well-rounded voice from Simon Le Bon and Nick Rhodes a little retarded but important, to keep track.
During Notorious we noticed that everyone – or almost everyone – was standing in the Bell Center. Not just on the ground, but also in the stands!
We felt a little relaxed with Lonely in Your Nightmare, but it’s very healthy that a group with such a catalog still allows themselves some daring.

This brief pause was quickly forgotten by Sirs John Taylor and Simon Le Bon’s joint vocal attack on “Is There Something I Should Know?” Note that in this last piece we were able to see a montage of the covers of teen magazines from the ’80s in which we saw her so frequently.
But even without the cut, listening to their hit series, you could understand why these guys still attract so many fans. The fun in the room was transferred to the stage and vice versa.

The hysteria during their huge success Reflex proved it. The same goes for Girls on Film, which aroused passions.
Duran Duran stays fit and relevant and allows himself forays into his newer material.
the freak, it still is) Chic
In the opening act, Nile Rodgers and his Chic followers gave us a lesson in authentic disco funk.
To make sure everyone knew what to expect from the start, they started their set with Le Freak.
Guitarist Nile Rodgers composed for big names like Diana Ross, Bowie and Madonna and didn’t hesitate to enrich his group’s singing tour with hits like Upside Down, Modern Love or even Like A Virgin. And it worked very well! Shortened versions but effective.
Certainly their performance at times had echoes of a disco medley at a company party. But since they were pioneers of the genre’s explosion in the ’70s, we can forgive them.
And finally, Chic decided on his Good Times. It was actually a lovely time. In addition, they integrated the Rapper’s Delight, on which the piece is based.
