Many viewers were unfazed by the 2022 ceremony, which took place on the Gold Coast on Sunday night, calling it the “most boring in history”.

“I was hoping when they promoted the ’60 Seconds’ logies that we would only get a one-minute highlights reel,” said one critic.

Another tweeted: “One of the most unforgettable, boring logies ever. Good night and see you (and good to you, Dickie, at the end of TV week).’

During the ceremony, the Gold Logie Award for Favorite Personality on Australian Television went to comedian Hamish Blake, who delivered a moving speech as he accepted the coveted statuette for the second time.

Also in the running for the award were I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Host Julia Morris, MasterChef judge Melissa Leong, Channel Seven host Sonia Kruger, comedian Tom Gleeson and Home and Away actor Ray Meagher.

In his acceptance speech, Hamish joked that his Gold Logie counted as three because none were handed out in 2019 and 2020.

He also won the award in 2012 and said he technically now has four Gold Logies.
