A 22-year-old man who allegedly struck and killed four Pepperdine University graduates with his BMW in Malibu has been charged with murder.
Fraser Michael Bohm, 22, was arrested again Tuesday on four counts of murder in the deaths of Niamh Rolston, 20, Peyton Stewart, Asha Weir and Deslyn Williams, all 21, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
The four sorority sisters died at the scene when the BMW Bohm was driving plowed into them as they stood next to their cars near a Pepperdine sorority house on Pacific Coast Highway the night after his 22nd birthday last week.
Bohm was initially arrested after the accident and charged with gross vehicular manslaughter, but was “subsequently released to allow investigators time to collect the evidence necessary for a strong criminal charge and conviction.”
The sheriff’s department is collecting evidence, including toxicology, speed analysis and executing search warrants, police said in a news release.
Bohn’s bail is set at $8 million and his next court date is scheduled for November 1.
“The Sheriff’s Department is working tirelessly to bring justice to the victims’ families,” the department said.

The horror occurred around 8:30 p.m. local time near the Malibu Pier and La Costa Beach when Bohm is believed to have plowed into a group of parked cars and then struck the women walking nearby.
Witnesses said Bohm was uninjured after the incident and attempted to leave the scene until onlookers arrested him.
A sheriff’s office spokesman said a drunken driving investigation was also underway.
Officials said a Pepperdine fraternity party was taking place in the area, and the official said the victims were planning to meet up with others at the time of the tragedy.
