EL PAÍS is broadcasting a special broadcast this Sunday, July 23, from 6:00 p.m. following the election night of the 23rd. The room where the parliamentary election scrutiny and voting results are followed minute by minute can be followed on the newspaper’s website, on its social networks and on its affiliated Samsung, LG and Xiaomi TV channels (in addition to Tivify).
The program, moderated by Carlos de Vega, begins at 6 p.m. with a first analysis segment on Election Day, which will be attended by Quino Petit, Editor-in-Chief of the newspaper’s Spain section, Mariola Urrea, Jorge Rodríguez, Berna González Harbour, Javier Casqueiro and Álvaro Romero from the newspaper’s social media section. In the second hour, the connections with the headquarters of the political parties begin. José Marcos will be represented at the PSOE, Elsa García de Blas at the PP, Paula Chouza at Podemos and Miguel González at Vox. Virginia Martínez will be in the data center from where the first attendance numbers will be announced. In this segment of the program, Agenda Pública collaborators José Luis Sastre, Carlos E. Cué, Xosé Hermida, Antón Losada, Ángeles Caballero, Natalia Junquera, Pablo Machuca and Juan Rodríguez will also take part in the analysis. From eight o’clock in the afternoon, when the first polls are known, Kiko Llaneras will analyze the numbers and forecast of the poll’s outcome. The program will also include EL PAÍS correspondents in different regions. Lourdes Lucio in Andalusia, Ana Pantaleoni in Catalonia, Juan Navarro in Castile and León, Sonia Vizoso in Galicia and Pablo Ordaz in the Basque Country. Also present in the early morning analysis will be José Miguel Contreras, Luis Arroyo and Carlos Domínguez, an analyst at 40dB. During the night other companies from the newspaper will intervene in the program, such as Sergio del Molino, Victor Lapuente, Soledad Gallego-Díaz, Marian Martínez Bascuñán or Elvira Lindo. Once the audit is known, the director of EL PAÍS, Pepa Bueno, will coordinate a final analysis table to discuss the final outcome of the elections.
