Wrestling veteran Matt Morgan believes Drew McIntyre would be the best replacement for Seth Rollins in a potential WWE World Heavyweight Title match against CM Punk at WrestleMania 40.
Rollins has held the world heavyweight championship since May 2023. In recent months he has defeated several challengers, including The Scottish Warrior. However, the visionary recently suffered an injury during his title match against Jinder Mahal on RAW last Monday.
Although it was assumed that Rollins would defend his title against CM Punk at WrestleMania 40, his injury put that potential match in jeopardy. According to recent reports, the company's plans for the World Heavyweight Champion to face CM Punk at WrestleMania 40 remain unchanged. However, if Rollins needs surgery, WWE will have to take a different route.
On the Gigantic Pop podcast, Matt Morgan talked about potentially replacing Rollins if he couldn't face Punk at WrestleMania 40. He explained that McIntyre would be the perfect choice. The Scottish Warrior and Punk even had a showdown on RAW almost two weeks ago.

However, the newly revamped RAW superstar recently received a significant boost on the red brand. On the same episode of the Gigantic Pop podcast, Matt Morgan and his co-host Glenn Rubenstein predicted that McIntyre would likely re-sign with WWE.
