The Academy 2022: Honduras’ Cesia wins the latest installment of the reality show

The finals of La Academia are scheduled for Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th. For the first time, the final will take place on two dates, during which the academics will present two songs and a duet with former academics.

The academics undoubtedly had a night full of adrenaline and partying ahead of them during the almost three-hour broadcast of the last appointment. The weeks of preparations, concerts and a stage that gave everyone a boost in their musical career, in which they also had moving moments when they received the surprise of a visit from their loved ones, ended.

The big winner was Cesia while Andrés took second place; the audience chose Mar for third place; in fourth place was Nelson from Guatemala; Rubí from Mexico took fifth place.

Cesia and Andrés also surprised with a duet before they knew who won by interpreting Remember me from the fifth station.

First place in the competition He takes home a million pesos (more than 50 thousand dollars) and will sign a deal with Sony Music later record a single, which is seen as a stepping stone to the fame each of them aspires to. The runners-up and third-place finishers also have that final contract.

Cesia commented that she will continue to create projects and make music with the money. “Keep multiplying it and this will allow you to generate business, create jobs, invest, help, create associations, many things you want to do and hopefully the public will help us,” he added.

The Guatemalan was favored at this gala. Nelson David Carreras López, 21, who represents Guatemala in this edition, was the most prominent. He received the award that the critics offered a car to the student who progressed the furthest in the first part of the final.

On August 6, Nelson reached the finals first and won $30,000. The singer was born in Cuba and radica in Guatemala since he was 14 years old and as he has shown in various performances, he considers himself Guatemalan and defines the country as a place that has welcomed him since his arrival.

One after the other

The presentations started with Ruby. She was the first to face criticism with Edith Marquez’s My Error, My Fantasy.

Lolita Cortés explained that she had never seen anyone with such strength and determination. “Your career starts now and you can create it,” he said, welcoming him to the world of entertainment. Ana Bárbara exited the critics’ room and hugged her tightly, making an impression with the design of her sheer dress.

The Honduran Cesia interprets Por amor by Marco Antonio Muñiz. During his speech, he assured that his song was dedicated to God. Arturo López Gavito, in turn, appreciated the work of the teachers and arrangers to achieve the students’ progress, “it was your best night”, he told the academic.

For his part, Andrés brought Ricardo Montaner’s Me Va a Extrandra to life and managed to rouse the critics after the performance. “You gave it your all… I appreciate your dedication and dedication to yourself…” was some of the comments he received.

The Mexican suffers from type 1 diabetes and after his presentation he met Diego, an 8-year-old boy who suffers from the same disease and Andrés’ story inspired him to continue his treatment, which he refused.

For Mar, the song chosen was Now You by Malú. The Ecuadorian was also congratulated for her performance and the energy she exudes on stage.

Nelson came to end the evening’s presentations with Mintes from Camila. They highlighted their progress and growth. “Guatemala shows us that they are crazy and have great musicians,” said Lolita Cortés.

For her part, Ana Bárbara announced her next concert in Guatemala and hopes to see Nelson there. Horacio Villalobos invited him to take his art from Guatemala to the world, while Arturo López Gavito was the last to offer his criticism in this issue of La Academia, praising his development and resilience as an artist.

Party this evening

La Sonora Dinamita and the duo Cañaveral and Aleks Sytek welcomed this night of awards ceremonies. In addition, Emir Pabón selected from the duo Andrés, Nelson and Eduardo (the last to be expelled from La Academia) as the three academics who will be present at the concerts, the Cañaveral duo and the Sonora Dinamita.

Río Roma was also part of the music shows. Brothers José Luis and Raúl Ortega Castro filled the stage with romance with Tu me gustas, no lobeses.

Without a doubt, Natalia Jiménez was one of the most awaited guests. The Spanish artist rose to prominence as the singer of the group La Quinta Estación in the 2000s and is now a great soloist.

The academics interpreted some of the famous songs and created the atmosphere in which the renowned artist took the stage and surprised by singing with Juan Gabriel’s Mariachis Costumbre. In this scenario, she also celebrated 20 years of career.

day 1

On Saturday 13th, each of the members had a duet with winners from previous generations of the Academy..

One of the special moments of the evening was undoubtedly Paola Chuc’s presentation with Nelson while they performed I’m in Love. “I think the people of Guatemala are crying with emotion,” said Arturo López Gavito. While Horacio Villalobos highlighted Paola’s humble attitude and also invited her to record a duet.

The duets and their performances were universally rated as impressive. But Cesia and Erika Alcocer won the vote as the best of the night with their interpretation of Cosas del amor. Cesia took $50,000.

At night Andrés sang together with Myriam Montemayor; Mar with Erick Sandoval and Rubí with Menny Carrasco.
