On Broadway, it was Bebe Neuwirth and Nathan Lane who initiated those two roles in the making of the 2010 musical incarnation of The Addams Family. Since then, the musical has been performed around the world, most notably in Spain, Brazil, England, Australia and France.
René Simard will direct the Quebec version, which is expected in Montreal this fall and in Quebec the following year.
With these announcements, the cast of the show continues to take shape. According to the latest news, only the interpreter of Pugsley, the youngest of the Addams clan, could be found. To this end, hearings were organized earlier this month in both the metropolis and the old capital.
The Addams Family opens at the St-Denis Theater in Montreal beginning October 17, 2023 and at the Salle Albert-Rousseau in Quebec City during the 2024 holiday season.
