The Alouettes move to Saint-Jérôme

The Montreal Alouettes will hold their next three training camps in the parish of Saint-Jérôme.

The Canadian Football League (CFL) club and the city announced this at a press conference on Monday.

“We are really looking forward to coming to Saint-Jérôme for our training camp next spring. “All fans from the North Shore, as well as the greater Montreal region just 45 minutes away, will have the opportunity to watch practice and the entire training camp from the front row,” said Mark Weightman, president and CEO of the Alouettes, in a press release.

“The city has demonstrated first-class dynamism and adaptability to welcome our players as well as the entire football operations staff. We are all looking forward to training in an extremely professional environment. The high-quality facilities of the municipality of Saint-Jérôme will allow our footballers to prepare in optimal conditions to be successful again in 2024. We are all really looking forward to meeting our fans at this important moment of the season. »

For the last two years, the Alouettes have held their training camp in Trois-Rivières. The initiative to travel across Quebec for this important seasonal event is part of owner Pierre Karl Peladeau's desire to make the club a team of a whole province.
