The Alouettes sweater brought no luck for Joe Burrow’s Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals were defeated by the Houston Texans 30-27 at Paycor Stadium on Sunday.

A 38-yard field goal by Texans (5-4) kicker Matt Amendola with five seconds left in the game allowed his team to escape with the victory.

Joe Burrow, who arrived at the stadium in the Montreal Alouettes jersey worn by his father Jim between 1977 and 1979, collected two touchdown passes and a total of 347 yards, completing 27 of his 40 attempts at will.

The second quarter was difficult for the quarterback’s teammates, who allowed 10 points in that sequence. Their problems continued after the locker room when Devin Singletary gave the Texas club a 20-7 lead after Amendola’s conversion by reaching the pay zone on an eight-yard run.

Additionally, Singletary had a phenomenal game, managing 150 rushing yards on 30 carries.

The Bengals (5:4) then got back into the game and even equalized the score at 27:27 thanks to Evan McPherson’s field goal 1:37 before the end of the game.

The Texans will face the Arizona Cardinals next Sunday, while the Cincinnati team will face the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday.

A fatal fourth quarter for the Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens (7-2) led 31-17 with 11:37 remaining in the game and lost 33-31 to the Cleveland Browns (5-3) in the fourth quarter.

The Ohio team reached their opponent’s end zone twice in less than a minute. Patrick Ricard’s interception return allowed them to come within a small point of their opponents on the day.

Finally, with three seconds left, Dustin Hopkins’ placement sealed the outcome of the game.

This loss is the Ravens’ first since October 8th against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The 49ers beat the Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars (6-3) were taught a lesson by the San Francisco 49ers (6-3), who won the game between the two teams 34 to 3.

The performance of “Jags” quarterback Trevor Lawrence was not quite at the level of his team. He finished his afternoon of work with 17 completions on 29 attempts and gained 185 yards.

On the other hand, his opponent Brock Purdy was much more skilled, collecting 296 points through the air and scoring three touchdown passes. Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, Brandon Aiyuk and Kyle Juszczyk were the ones who reached the end zone for the Jaguars.
