The announcement of her first pregnancy turns into a nightmare

A Utah couple died in a car accident as they prepared to announce the birth of their first child in several weeks to their loved ones.

In her tenth week of pregnancy, Chloe Scott had to announce the biggest news of her life just in time for Christmas.

The American had just found out that she was pregnant and had to share the information with her family, who lives in the neighboring state of Arizona.

On December 20, Chloe Scott and her boyfriend Parker were involved in a violent head-on collision with a truck.

The woman had no chance. According to People Media, he was pronounced dead when first responders arrived.

Parker was taken to a hospital and died of his injuries three days later.

Local authorities have confirmed that Chloe Scott was pregnant with a baby boy at the time of the tragedy.

In a Facebook post, his family paid tribute to the young couple in their 20s.

“We are devastated and the world has truly lost one of its best people. Chloe was truly joyful, inspiring, successful and brought a lot of joy to those around her […] “They were so excited to be parents and share the news with their loved ones at Christmas,” we read.

Their relatives have created a GoFundMe crowdfunding page with the aim of providing the victims' families with “necessary financial support.”

In less than four days, the family raised more than $200,000.
