The 2023 Nobel Prize winners will be announced this week. The winners of the Physiology or Medicine category were announced this Monday 2nd.

According to the wishes of its creator Alfred Nobel, the Nobel Prize is awarded to “those who have brought the greatest benefit to humanity in the past year”.

The prize can be shared by up to three people or, in the case of the Peace Prize, an organization can also be awarded.

This Monday (February 10th) the winners of the Physiology and Medicine category were announced. Hungarian biochemist Katalin Karikó and American doctor Drew Weissman received the award for discoveries that led to the development of vaccines against Covid19.

The Nobel Prize in Physics will be announced on Tuesday (October 3) from 6:45 a.m. (Brasília time). The chemistry course takes place the following day, Wednesday (October 4th), and also starts at 6:45 a.m. (Brasília time).

The Nobel Prize for Literature will be announced next Thursday (October 5th) from 8 a.m. (Brasília time).

The Nobel Peace Prize will be announced on Friday (October 6th) at 6 a.m. (Brasília time).

Finally, the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences will be announced next Monday (September 10th) from 6:45 a.m. (Brasília time).
