Details: Reports of the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the headquarters of Wagner PMC in Popasna appeared in Russian Telegram channels on Sunday. A photo of the destruction was also released.

According to Radio Liberty, Wagner PMC’s Telegram channels confirm the strike.

On August 8, Russian military correspondent Sergei Sereda wrote about his visit to “Headquarters”. He published a post on Telegram in which he wrote: “Arrived in Popasna, stopped at Wagner PMC HQ. They met me like family and shared several funny stories.”

According to Radio Liberty, one of the photos he posted shows Yevgeny Prigozhin [a Russian oligarch who controls a network of companies]who is believed to be the owner of Wagner PMC, although he himself denies this.

These photos angered many pro-Russian commentators, as one of them featured a sign with the address of the nearest air raid shelter – 12 Myronivska Street.

Radio Svoboda analyzed photos of houses in the area and concluded that the photo is indeed a house at that address.

After information about the strike in Popasna, Sergey Sereda deleted his message about visiting “Headquarters”, but numerous copies of it remained on the Internet.
