The artistic project "Pull up a chair" will see a sequel in Coaticook – Le Progrès de Coaticook

COATICOOK. After arousing curiosity this summer with their construction at the -Petite maison des artistes, the creators of the “-Tire-toi une chaise” project are preparing to give something back.

Some elements of the structure will actually be auctioned off in a silent auction. All funds raised through this fundraising activity will be donated to the Coaticook-MRC Volunteer Action Center Christmas Basket Campaign. “-When we dismantled the work at the beginning of the fall, we thought some of the chairs would have held up to the elements. They are also true works of art in which the artists have invested a lot of time. We then said to ourselves why we shouldn’t give them a second life. The idea of an auction and handing over the funds to -CAB was born. This organization plays an even more important role in our community as we think about the economics of these days. “So this was our way of giving something back,” says Manon Marcoux, one of the artists involved in the project.

Therefore, the ten selected chairs will be exhibited from November 25th in the artistic premises of the -Centre de Peinture -Laroche on Rue -Main -Ouest in -Coaticook. The silent auction will take place on December 1st from 3 to 7 p.m.
