The bachelor Sam Wood reveals the most important fitness rule for losing weight and for a healthy lifestyle

Fitness guru Sam Wood has shared his advice on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

The Bachelors star and founder of the 28 By Sam Wood workout program said it’s okay to work out at your own pace, but it’s important to be consistent.

The 42-year-old father of four also pointed out that the results won’t be immediate, but that doesn’t mean you should give up.

“It’s about being patient and starting with small steps. Don’t try to undo 10 years of bad health habits in two weeks,” he said on the Today Show on Thursday.

Wood also said there’s an ideal time of day to exercise that means you won’t get distracted: first thing in the morning.

“I’m a big fan of working out in the morning because life is crazy. Book your workout as a calendar appointment,” he explained.

In conclusion, Wood says it’s important to eat “right food” — by which he presumably means avoiding processed foods — but that doesn’t mean you should deny yourself something tasty on occasion.
