The Backstreet Boys performed in London, England today, a day after singer Aaron Carter, brother of member Nick Carter, died aged 34. He was found dead at his home in Los Angeles, USA.
While the group dedicated the song “No Place” to him, the group played a series of photos of the artist with his brother on the big screen.
“Tonight we had a bit of heartache because we lost one of our family members yesterday,” Kevin Richardson told the audience.
“We wanted to take a moment from our show to acknowledge that Nick’s younger brother Aaron Carter passed away yesterday at the age of 34. He was part of our family and we thank you for all your love and support.”
During the speech, Nick started crying and was comforted by the other groupmates. “You are missed,” Richardson finished.
Then the Backstreet Boys dedicated a second song to Aaron, “No Breathe”.
Earlier, Nick mourned the death of his brother, who was dating Hilary Duff, in an Instagram post.
“My heart was broken today. Even though we had a difficult relationship, my love for him never waned,” the boy band member wrote.
