The band puts the hammer down on the presenters who will take Faustão’s place. According to Flávio Ricco of the R7 portal, this Thursday (25th) the channel selected a team of exGlobals to direct the show in prime time, including Glenda Kozlowski and Zeca Camargo.

According to the columnist, the new daily attraction aims to combine journalism with entertainment and to hold audiences back after “Jornal da Band.” The idea is for Kozlowski and Camargo to come into play after a team reformulation starting in August. With the departure of Fausto Silva, most of the pros will be reinstated, however directors Beto Silva, Renato Moreira and Cris Gomes will leave the channel along with the TV veteran.

The former TV Globo presenters were chosen due to the good reception their names had in the advertising market and public approval when the duo covered the carnival this year. The new program will be helmed by Ignácio Iglesias, who has also worked on the game show 1001 Questions (2017) alongside CQC (20082015), A Liga (20092015) and Nightmare in the Kitchen 2020) among others.

Yesterday the first program without a communicator was shown and the novelty caught the attention of the Internet. The management of the attraction was taken over by Anne Lottermann, Carol Mendes and João Guilherme Silva, son of Faustão. Regard:

The announcement that Faustão would no longer be hosting his own program took fans by surprise last week. On Wednesday (17) he announced to the directors that he was leaving the station after a year and a half in office. After the announcement, the public assumed he was in advanced negotiations with SBT and Record. Despite the interest from the broadcasters, Fausto just wanted some quiet time. “It’s time for me to rest, take a break and most of all enjoy my friends and family,” he said.

The presenter also complained about the rushed routine that kept him busy during the week. “This business of [programa] “Every day, every day, even though it only records three times a week, you’re actually there all week,” he explained. The dissatisfaction contributed to the low viewership (in the region of 2.5 points) in the lowgrossing São Paulo area and marked the end of that cycle in the professional’s career.

“In agreement with the band, moderator Fausto Silva will leave the day’s program in the second half. After his departure, Faustão will have led the band’s evenings with competence and professionalism for a year and a half. With more than 700 hours of programming, 350 editions and the participation of the biggest names in Brazil’s artistic class, “Faustão na Band” brought joy, fun and information to millions of Brazilian families,” emphasized the channel.
