There has already been speculation as to whether Faustão will continue to air on the band’s screen every day at night, or whether it will tie in with the station’s Sundays. Well, the network said he could go off the air, but with one condition:
“Fausto only leaves the diary when he wants to,” explains the station’s management.
But not quite. The moderator contract with Globo expires at the end of the year. After leaving the Marinho family channel, he was banned from hosting Sunday shows for a year.
Next year he will be free to return to the day he was ordained.
The problem is that it would be disastrous for the band to reveal this now. In TV advertising, contracts are concluded for the long term. Therefore, the revelation that Fausto’s program will be retiring from daytime programming would deter advertisers looking to sign deals next year.
It was the same for him at Globo. While the media had been announcing his departure for months, the broadcaster denied everything and said Faustão would stay there for years.
