The former Posh Spice and wife of David Beckham would hit it off with her daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz. The story was told by Page Six, who revealed the tensions had also led to a split from his son
Tensions between Victoria Beckham and her daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz, the new wife of her son Brooklyn. A source close to the family revealed to the Page Six website that the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law “can’t stand each other and don’t speak to each other,” adding that preparations for the wedding would be “terrible.”
According to the online newspaper, Nicola would not have wanted Victoria to take part in the preparations and it would all have turned into “a little drama without end”. The situation would have led to Brooklyn’s gradual estrangement from his parents. Victoria’s mood also soured after the cover of Tatler magazine, in which Brooklyn calls his wife “The New Mrs. Beckham.”
In short, at the base could also be a jealousy of the former Posh Spice and stylist towards the daughter-in-law. Finally, for the wedding to Brooklyn (which took place at their family home in Palm Beach), Nicola Peltz chose a Valentino piece rather than a Victoria Beckham piece. A detail that would have turned up her nose at the future mother-in-law.
