The Block 2023: A feud is already brewing between judge Darren Palmer and new co-star Marty Fox just weeks into the latest hit season
The latest episode of the popular renovation series The Block just aired earlier this month.
But viewers of the Channel 9 show believe they’ve already spotted a feud between Darren Palmer and the show’s new judge, Marty Fox.
In a Facebook fan group for the show, a viewer wrote, “Every time he spoke, Darren’s eyes were looking down or in a different direction.”
Another agreed, replying, “He squirmed after all, didn’t he?” Mit [Neale] I guess he thought it was time to get Whitaker out of the way.’
Fan opinions about newcomer Marty are mixed. Some say it’s “beautiful to the eye” while others say it’s too harsh.

In the fan group, a viewer wrote after Sunday night’s episode: “I think the judging this year is cruel, these are amateurs not interior designers, give them a break.” “Your words are cruel and demoralizing.”
However, some disagreed and one replied, “Oh my god… what’s wrong with people these days???” The contestants entered a competition. It was to be judged!!! The judges will be critical!

While still starring in the new series of The Block, Neale has taken a step back as newcomer Marty serves as a semi-regular judge alongside Shaynna Blaze and Darren Palmer.
Neale said he would be reducing his time as a judge to spend more time with his partner David, who has recently had some “serious health issues”.
“I am very proud to complete my 17th season as a judge on The Block. “It is an incredible privilege to be a part of this legendary show for 13 years,” he wrote on Instagram.
“However, for the 2023 season, I have put family first and reduced my time as a judge. My partner of 20, David, had serious health issues earlier this year and my priority was to spend more time at home.”

Newcomer Marty is Managing Director of WHITEFOX Real Estate.
At the age of 21 he started his career as a real estate agent before founding his own agency.
Fans may remember the slick businessman from the show’s 2020 season when he sold Harry and Tash Pavlou’s stunning home.
This season of The Block will be filmed in Hampton East, a Bayside suburb of Melbourne just 9 miles from the CBD.
