Oakland showered their opponent with a cold shower in the ninth inning. Shea Langeliers entered a solo track to anchor his team in the driver’s seat.
Jays starter Chris Bassitt was certainly hoping for a better start against one of his former teams. The right-hander allowed four runs, including a home run, in five active innings.
Toronto still sits fourth in the mighty American League East Division. They are now a half game behind the New York Yankees and third overall.
Toronto will have a chance to show that loss was just a simple mistake as they face the A’s again on Saturday from 4:07pm.
