The Bolivian Ministry of Foreign Affairs presents an exportable offer in the catalog

“This catalog is in 15 languages, so it will reach the whole world and we will publish it on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at all embassies and consulates abroad,” Sosa said in front of the ambassadors representing the accredited diplomatic corps, producers, businessmen and entrepreneurs.

The owner described that the volume includes a total of 48 products divided into two sectors: 33 ready to be marketed abroad and 15 with potential but requiring adjustments and additional procedures.

“Bolivia has many agreements with many international organizations, but with this exportable catalog of offers we will be able to explore all possible areas,” said Sosa.

In turn, the Vice Minister of Foreign Trade and Integration, Benjamín Blanco, emphasized that the catalog “includes products from producer associations that have managed to have enough strength to reach international markets.”

However, he clarified that offers from public and private companies also appear in the text, and among the productions of state-owned companies he mentioned some that he considered very promising, such as heart of palm (very well received in Japan), pineapple and cement.

According to Blanco, in 2023 one of the associations represented in the catalog exported 20 tons of dried beans to the United Arab Emirates for the first time.

Among others, coffee, lemon essences, beef, chili, dried beans, wine and singani stand out, considered to be those with the greatest international demand and the greatest mobility in the market.

The offer contained in the catalog has been consolidated over the last three years through an integrated effort of peasant, indigenous, micro, small and medium economic organizations, promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the context of the trade policy implemented by the Plurinational State. , characterized by the democratization of access to international markets.

Foreign Ministry sources told Prensa Latina that the catalog will be presented this Thursday in the cities of Cochabamba and Santa Cruz, an action that will mark the beginning of a “dynamic and continuous” strategy to promote Bolivia's commercial offer on a global scale.
