British actress Keira Knightley shone as she visited MOMA in New York on Tuesday to attend the premiere of her latest film The Boston Strangler.

Usually dressed in Chanel pieces on red carpets, the face of Coco Chanel Perfume instead opted for a black dress with a tired corset to attend the Hulu Original movie’s premiere in the Big Apple.

This Andreas Kronthaler look from Vivienne Westwood’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection was reminiscent of the many period films that have seen the 37-year-old actress in corsets and long dresses. The black of the dress and the laced corset gave her a look that was both chic and gothic.

The actress was joined by her playmates, including Carrie Coon, in the film, which will be released on Disney+ on March 17. The two women star in this thriller based on true events. They embody the journalists who uncovered the story of the Boston Strangler murders while challenging the sexism of the time. The film is being produced by Ridley Scott.

Albert DeSalvo was identified as the serial killer, nicknamed the Boston Strangler, after he raped and strangled 13 women in the 1960s. When he claimed his life, the two American reporters from Boston Record risked their lives to find out the truth.

Keira Knightley’s last appearance was last November at a Charlotte screening, which preceded the Chanel Couture Fall/Winter 2022-2023 show last July.
