The Boulay sisters were at La Semaine des 4 Julie to celebrate their 10 year career!

It’s also on the presenter’s set Julie Snyder that the singers Stéphanie and Mélanie Boulay opened up a darker period in their lives, a period of extreme poverty in which they had difficulty eating.

That time of misery also played a part in the duo’s success today!

“How did you decide to finally pursue a career together? Because you were starving?” says Julie.

“Well, yes,” the two sisters reply.

“Stéphanie, have you already taken out a loan to buy a Putin?” the innkeeper adds.

“Often I had no more money, zero. Then you could get an Accord D loan at night on the internet, even if no registers were open. So I borrowed $2,000 just to buy a $6 Putin because I didn’t have $6. Really, we rolled pennies to buy Kraft Dinner, no kidding,” confides Stéphanie to this off-season.

“We don’t have any more regrets than anyone but it was…we weren’t on our X,” adds the singer with her sister.

They are proof that you never know what life is made of… and that it can change at any moment!

The Boulay sisters also used their presence to admit that their new tour, Échapper la nuit, is more peaceful to avoid exhaustion.

“We did a tour, a burnout to this day! I have two children there. I try to use my role as a mother and be present. At the same time, continuing to work so that we have an easy tour, we can say,” says Mélanie.

We wish Stéphanie and Mélanie many more great career years, in serenity!
