‘The Boys’ Season 3 Trailer: Billy Karl Urban Gets Power Upgrade

At the end of the second season of The Boys, Huey (Jack Quaid) admitted that he was tired of trying to outsmart the evil Vought Corporation. “I still want to fight Vought,” he says. “I just want to do it right and not cover myself with so many guts.” But if The Boys Season 3 trailer is any indication, a lot more people will explode around Huey and his friends.

The trailer that Prime Video released during its panel at SXSW 2022 teases a lot of bloody antics as the Boys keep trying to take down Vought and the Seven. Perhaps most interestingly, Billy (Karl Urban) got his own laser eyes?

In addition, The Boys have once again set their sights on some of our pop culture favorites, cynically parodying things like Kendall Jenner’s Pepsi ads (this time with A-Train offering “Turbo Rush” to the police can) and superboy bands – along with maybe a musical number between Kumiko (Karen Fukuhara) and Frenchie (Tomer Capon)? There is also a brief overview of what looks like an American flag dildo; Make whatever you want out of it. In fact, it’s all very much in keeping with The Boys’ branding, taken to the extreme most recently in the animated spin-off The Boys: Devilical.

The trailer offers less details than glimpses of what happens after Stormfront. But as seen in the trailer, stars Quaid, Urban, Anthony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominic McElligott, Laz Alonso and Chace Crawford will return for the new season. Also joining the team is Jensen Ackles, who has finally freed himself from the restrictions of Supernatural and has become (presumably) the foul-mouthed counterpart of Captain America.

Season 3 of The Boys will debut on Prime Video with three episodes on June 3rd. New episodes of the eight-episode season will be available every Friday.
