A British yoga teacher has miraculously survived horrific injuries from a boat propeller during a luxury vacation in Mexico.
Amor Armitage, 37, was fighting for her life after the near-fatal accident while on a scuba diving trip with her husband Chase.
Last night she revealed medics told her a two-inch blood clot in her artery was preventing her from bleeding to death. She is currently recovering in hospital on the Caribbean island of Cozumel while Chase, 37, is desperate to raise more than £60,000 to cover medical bills and fly Cupid back to the UK.
The incident happened two weeks ago after Cupid flew to Cozumel to meet up with her stuntman husband, who had worked on a US film set for five years. After vacationing in Cozumel, the couple planned another two-week tour of Florida before heading home to Basingstoke to see the New Year.

She wrote: “I was a bit cold and decided to go to the boat to warm up. I swam to the boat ladder, music was playing in the boat and the captain wasn’t looking in my direction.
“When I hold on to the ladder, I take out a fin, the captain doesn’t see me, suddenly I realize that the boat has started to move and I can’t say anything, just no words came out.
“Everything seems to slow down as I feel the boat’s propeller hit my stomach, genitals and legs, my body feels heavy and I see the boat pull away from me.
“A scream comes from my stomach asking for help, the captain sees me but I know I have to swim to the boat so with cuts all over my body I managed to swim back to the ladder.
“He tells me I have to climb the ladder, I’ve looked down and seen my insides out, I feel like I have no chance of pulling myself up.”
Cupid said she was afraid she was going to die at that moment, but her husband’s loving words kept her going
Cupid said, “God must have held me,” as she managed to drag her broken body onto the deck.
She added, “My body feels mangled and I feel an out of this world pain… As soon as I manage to pull myself up, the captain helps put my body on the floor and I start shaking.” , he calls the dive team and Chase arrives .’
Cupid said she was afraid she was going to die at that moment, but her husband’s loving words kept her going. She added, “He did his best to keep me close and I really feel like I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for my angel Chase.”
Speaking from the hospital last night, Chase said he dove eight meters underwater and resurfaced to hear his wife’s bloodthirsty screams.
“She was lying on the deck with her abdomen cut open. Those were incredible wounds and I had no idea how she could survive them,” he told The Mail on Sunday.
He added: “I just took off the heavy scuba gear and held onto it as best I could. You hear people talk about soul mates and Cupid and I are those soul mates. We’re quite spiritual people, we feel very connected.
“I told her I wasn’t going to let her go, that we had so much strength together that the world needed her and it wasn’t time for her to go. And that she had shown that she was a miracle by staying alive.
“But it wasn’t even about the words. The love we have is strong enough. She also has a positive attitude and that helped her a lot despite the situation she was in.”

A four-hour operation followed to reconstruct and fix Cupid’s bones and tendons. She also underwent surgery on her inner thigh, which was “a complete mess.”
When it turned out that the propeller had not severed any organs, there was relief.
Amor said: “It appears that during the accident I developed a blood clot in my femoral artery which prevented me from losing too much blood both during transport to hospital and during the operation.
“Without her I would have lost a lot of blood.”
She underwent a second operation to remove the blood clot and bypass the severed artery with a vein from her other leg.
Cupid was also treated daily in a hyperbaric chamber, which increases the oxygen levels in her blood to speed up the healing process. Although she continues to take painkillers and cannot move her left leg properly, feeling has returned to Cupid’s toes and there is hope she can make a full recovery.
Officials will conduct an internal investigation into the incident, according to a Cozumel port captain’s source.
Now Chase has put his prized Porsche Spyder 981 sports car up for sale and is trying to raise more funds through online donations. The couple have said hospital bills now exceed £60,000.

She added, “I can now clearly see angels on earth and I am so extremely grateful.”
Chase said the amount of support they’ve received from people online over the past few days has been overwhelming, adding, “To be honest, our message to people isn’t, ‘How can you help us, all of this to pay? We would like to thank them for their prayers and support.
“If Cupid has a message, it’s up to all of us to cherish each day and enjoy the present. Because that’s all we have.
“And of course to be careful with big boats.”
