Smash and Grab: Disgusting moment as the Bronx driver rams into a man crossing the street, then stops so his two passengers can get out and rob him while he lies unconscious

  • The three young men met the pedestrian as he ran across the street on Saturday
  • The victim, a 39-year-old man, flew into the air and landed nearby
  • The thieves then stopped her car and stole through his pockets and then fled
  • It’s the latest incident in the city’s worsening crime problem that has prompted some to compare New York to a “Third World country.”

The NYPD is looking for three men who were filmed hitting a pedestrian crossing the street and then robbing him as he lay unconscious in the street.

The disgusting incident was caught on surveillance camera. It shows the three men knocking over the victim, an unnamed 39-year-old man, at 6.40am on Saturday 23 July 2022.

They plowed right into the man and sent him flying through the air.

As the victim lay motionless on the ground, two of the men jumped out of the car to search his pockets.

They then got back in the car and drove away. It is the latest incident in New York City’s steadily worsening crime crisis.

The victim was later taken to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

The three criminals in the video are now being sought by the police.

The men are described by police as slim and dark-skinned.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the NYPD at (800) 577-TIPS.

The hit-and-run is just the latest incident in New York City’s steadily worsening crime epidemic.

It’s unclear if the men knew their victim or if it was a completely random attack.

An NYPD spokesman told on Sunday there was no evidence it was intent.

The video outraged many in New York and other cities, who saw it as yet another example of the city’s appalling crime and violence.

“Pull yourself together, this town is a mess,” some said on Twitter in response to the police appeal.

Others said residents were safer in “Third World countries” than in New York.

Mayor Eric Adams, who promised to tackle crime when he took office in January, has yet to tackle the problem.

However, earlier this week he announced a plan to house 3,000 illegal migrants in hotels across the city.

To fund his plan, he has asked for federal aid, which would come from taxpayers.
