A Baldur's Gate 3 player encountered a “crazy” hit point (HP) bug that kept him alive even though his Tav was at 0 HP.

Like many other games, Baldur's Gate 3 also encountered several strange bugs. Players claim that some game bugs, like the repeated death animation bug, actually improve the gaming experience.

In the meantime, it's not uncommon for certain topics to add new fun from time to time. A Baldur's Gate 3 player who recently encountered such a problem had to laugh at the strange situation he found himself in.

Luckily for him, everything seems to have turned out well.

Baldur's Gate 3's HP glitch won't let the player die

User u/Rowanever shared details of his ticket issues on Reddit. According to the player, his Tav was “hit” during a fight with harpies on the beach and began to slowly bleed.

Shadowheart healed the hero to 0 HP, which to the player's surprise actually awakened his character. “ [Tav] stands up to continue the fight. With 0 HP. Finish the fight by killing the rest of the harpies yourself.”

Once the fight was over, the game updated the player's status to “dead” even though the character was walking around unharmed. In a later post, the user noted that enemies were ignoring him because his Tav was considered deceased.

In the comments, the player said that this HP glitch in Baldur's Gate 3 also caused “every jump to be marked as leading to death.”

Other fans seemed intrigued by the mistake, with one writing: “Shadowheart either did the best possible healing or the worst possible healing. What an incredible mistake.”

Someone said they had a similar problem before, with Shadowheart walking around with a “dead” status after a supposedly fatal explosion. A long pause decided things in their favor.
