After a close start to the game, the University of Montreal Carabins largely prevailed by a score of 59-13 against the University of Sherbrooke’s Vert & Or at CEPSUM on Saturday.
Sherbrooke took a 10-8 lead after a touchdown from receiver Marc-André Shaw in the second quarter. The Vert & Or then got three points thanks to a field goal from Louis Tardif.

Carabins quarterback Jonathan Senecal was brilliant in his team’s win. He completed 18 of 28 passes for 324 yards. The latter himself scored his team’s first touchdown and added another in the second quarter.
The Carabins defense was also in good shape with three sacks.
In the fourth quarter, Montreal defender Mathis Bérubé scored a defensive touchdown, giving his club a 56-13 lead.
The Vert & Or have not won a single game this season, the team has a record of four defeats in as many games. The Carabins remain perfect with four wins in four games.
Next week the two teams will face off again, this time in Sherbrooke.
