Friends star Matthew Perry tragically died on Saturday, October 28, aged 54, after accidentally drowning in his home hot tub.
The actor who rose to fame as the sarcastic Chandler Bing on the groundbreaking ’90s sitcom has been found dead in his Los Angeles home.
“Friends,” which followed the lives of six 20-something friends living in New York, was a huge global hit when it aired between 1994 and 2004 — along with an emotional reunion special in 2021 — and there’s always numerous repeats still popular years later.
In the first season, each cast member of the series earned $22,500 per episode, but the series’ success led to the cast of Friends soon becoming one of the highest-paid television actors of the early noughties, earning $1 million by the series’ end in 2004 -dollars earned for each episode.

Since the final episode of Friends in 2004, Schwimmer has also had a successful career in television and film over the years.

There was no evidence of foul play and no drugs were found at the scene of his death, sources said this morning.
In his powerful final Instagram post earlier this week, the star posted pictures of himself in his pool and said, “Oh, so warm water swirling around makes you feel good? ‘I’m Mattman.’
