The cast of Friends: Where are they now and what is their net worth?

Friends star Matthew Perry tragically died on Saturday, October 28, aged 54, after accidentally drowning in his home hot tub.

The actor who rose to fame as the sarcastic Chandler Bing on the groundbreaking ’90s sitcom has been found dead in his Los Angeles home.

“Friends,” which followed the lives of six 20-something friends living in New York, was a huge global hit when it aired between 1994 and 2004 — along with an emotional reunion special in 2021 — and there’s always numerous repeats still popular years later.

In the first season, each cast member of the series earned $22,500 per episode, but the series’ success led to the cast of Friends soon becoming one of the highest-paid television actors of the early noughties, earning $1 million by the series’ end in 2004 -dollars earned for each episode.

As the world mourns Perry, we take a look at what the rest of the Friends stars have been up to.

Matthew Perry as Chandler Bing

Matthew Perry played the sweet but sarcastic Chandler Bing, who had fans laughing with his punchlines and wit.

Likewise, Chandler frequently brought Friends audiences to tears as the character, who was notoriously afraid of commitment, navigated her relationship and resulting marriage to lover Monica.

Perry won a new generation of fans when he played the adult version of Zac Efron’s character in the 2009 comedy “17 Again.”

The actor has also appeared in numerous television series including The Good Wife (2009), Mr. Sunshine (2011) and The Odd Couple (2015).

In November 2020, Perry married talent manager Molly Hurwitz, but the couple split six months later.

Perry was found dead in his Los Angeles home on October 28 at the age of 54 after accidentally drowning in his hot tub.

There was no evidence of foul play and no drugs were found at the scene of his death, sources said this morning.

In his powerful final Instagram post earlier this week, the star posted pictures of himself in his pool and said, “Oh, so warm water swirling around makes you feel good? ‘I’m Mattman.’

At the time of his death, Celebrity Net Worth estimated that Perry was worth $120 million.
