Globo will begin recording the remake of “Renascer,” a 1993 storyline that will premiere next year instead of “Terra e Paixão.” The actors from the first casting phase traveled to Ilhéus in the interior of Bahia this week.

Among them is Humberto Carrão, who will play the role of young José Inocêncio. In the next phase, the role will be taken over by Marcos Palmeira.

Other performers are also already in the Northeast, such as Juan Paiva, who will appear in the final phase as João Pedro, one of the protagonist’s sons. Director Gustavo Ferrnandez directs the work.

In the next few days will arrive Juliana Paes, who will play Jacuntiga, in a role played in the original version by Fernanda Montenegro, and Theresa Fonsceca, who will play Mariana, a controversial role played by Adriana Esteves.

The first filming will take place from next Monday (9) and will last until just before Christmas, including the second phase of the series.

The scripts are written by Bruno Luperi, grandson of Benedito Ruy Barbosa, the production’s original writer. They are already well advanced.

The new version of the story is recorded in Ilhéus, inland Bahia and in other towns nearby. The premiere will take place in January 2024, replacing “Terra e Paixão” at 9 p.m.
