The death of American actor Andre Braugher, best known for his role as Captain Raymond Holt in the popular series “Brooklyn Nine Nine”, occurred due to a short but serious illness.

The winner of two Emmy awards was diagnosed with throat cancer a few months ago, reports Sky News, and this was the cause of his death.
Since his death was announced, thousands of people have paid tribute to him on social media, including his fellow actors who starred in the popular series Brooklyn Nine Nine.
“I can’t believe you left so quickly,” actor Terry Crews said on his Instagram account. I am honored to have known you, to have laughed with you, to have worked with you and to have spent eight glorious years with you observing your irreplaceable talent.”
“I will remember the deep love and loyalty you have for your family,” says actress Melissa Fumero. Rest in peace my friend.”
