The band Detonautas is one of the attractions on the 4th day of the show at The Town. Before taking the stage, the group spoke exclusively to the news reporter Earth and expressed concern about the presentation at the Interlago circuit in São Paulo.
Vocalist Tico Santa Cruz praised the band’s 20year career, stating that the group has always maintained a political stance. “If you’re going through a period where democracy is under threat, then science is [atacada]the culture [atacada], artists generally need to look for ways to express themselves. Detonautas has been doing this work for many years, it has taken positions thousands of times, people already know what we think,” he explained.
“What we are doing here is to celebrate life, to celebrate that we have survived an uncontrolled pandemic in this country, that we have survived a very complex time, that democracy has been under attack, that culture has been under attack, that the “Science has been attacked.” And in the future, if we believe that democracy is under attack, we will take a stand with our songs,” he added.
The audience can look forward to the great success of Detonautas. “We have prepared a repertoire full of hits and successes. Vitor Kley is our guest. In addition to the hits and classics, we have also selected some songs that our fans love to hear and that may not be known to the entire festival audience, alongside the new music from our 20th anniversary acoustic album. “It’s an opportunity to celebrate this moment,” Tico celebrated.
“For us, every show is a joy, but here is a very special moment in our career. [Vamos celebrar] our friendship, our connection during those years,” added Fábio Brasil.
