The Congress of the International Democratic Women’s Federation takes place in Venezuela

The XVII. Congress of the International Democratic Federation of Women.

A global agenda for young women is agreed.

On the other hand, they discuss their empowerment in all areas of social and political life and in the fight for peace as well as their fight against inequalities at work, health, maternity protection and against the capitalism that produces them.

The event will bring together hundreds of activists from different countries around the world along with the participation of political and governmental authorities of the South American country and the leadership of the feminist organization.

In an interview with the President of the FDIM, Lorena Peña explains that “Venezuela is today one of the few countries in the world that gives confidence and security to women, its visitors and its population”, referring to the work of the Venezuelan State in Defense and rights of women.

According to reports from the website of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, the more than 300 delegates will also discuss women’s human rights in all spheres of social, economic and political life.
