‘The Continental’: Series Derivative of ‘John Wick’ Opens with 46% Approval on Rotten Tomatoes; Check the reviews!

The Continental‘, series derived from the film franchise’John Wick‘, premiering tomorrow in the catalog of Prime Video, But the international press has already been able to watch the first episodes and their reviews are being published on the Internet.

The series debuted on the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes with 46% agree Is Average rating 5.9/10.

Previously announced as a regular miniseries, the production was reworked as a threeepisode series, with each chapter acting as a film. The story will focus on the assassin hotel, which became quite popular in the original work.

The producer Erica Lee announced some details about the plot, which will take place in the 1970s:

“The plot focuses on young Winston and young Charon. After many discussions with the showrunners, we felt like doing a prequel because the alternate timeline gave us a lot of flexibility when it came to side stories.”

She continued:

“But what I think people love so much about the John Wick universe is the secrets that are hidden in the hotel. We’ve said so little about each character and the hotel in each film that I think people are really excited to learn more and delve deeper into the continental country. How are the employees? How is the process? What is it like to stay there? How are gold coins made? “So with this timeline and setting, we can delve deeper into those details and explore a lot more of this ‘character’.”

The cast consists of Colin Woodell, Mischel Prada, Hubert Point Du Jour, Jessica Allain, Nhung Kate, Ben Robson, Ayomide Adegun, Peter Greene, Jeremy Bobb, Katie McGrath, Ray McKinnon, Adam Shapiro, Mark Musashi It is Marina Mazepa. Mel Gibson was confirmed in the spinoff as the mysterious character Cormac.

With around 90 minutes each, the budget for the chapters should be approx $20 million.

Albert Hughes (“The Book of Eli”) directs two of the three episodes.

Chad Stahelski, Cocreator of the franchise, joins as executive producer Derek KolstadScreenwriter of the films.
