The Coyotes ridicule their saga

The Arizona Coyotes saga continues to be talked about and now the organization poured fuel on the fire on Friday on the social network Twitter.

The Arizona team had promised to announce plans for their new arena if they hit 20,000 tweet likes before the end of the day.

In just over an hour, the Coyotes had reached their destination… but in the end it was just a joke by the organization. The plans for this so-called future arena consisted of a link to a web page with a photo of a game the “Yotes” played against the Detroit Red Wings in the playoffs when they once played at Gila River Arena in Glendale.

The future of the American desert team seems increasingly uncertain after Tempe residents voted against the development of a new district that would include an arena for the Coyotes.

The bill for this mega-project was estimated at $2.8 billion.

The Coyotes announced Thursday that they will be playing at the 4,600-seat Mullett Arena for the second year in a row. The amphitheater is also home to the Arizona State University ice hockey team, the Sun Devils.
