The Crash or manipulation is considered one of the fine

As I reflect on the five chapters of The Crash (on COSMO), the series about the most important plane crash in Holland and the Dutch government's constant manipulation of events for political reasons, this unforgettable description from the then spokesman for the Spanish government comes to mind : Mariano Rajoy on the Prestige disaster: “It creates some small threads, in particular four, solidified threads that look like plasticine.” The shipwreck caused the greatest ecological tragedy in the history of Spain and caused damage that the prosecutor's office estimated at more than 4 .3 billion euros. A lynx, not to mention Aznar's deplorable determination to attribute the 11-M attacks to ETA, manipulating information about events on the eve of a parliamentary election, with the invaluable collaboration of Alfredo Urdaci at the head of TVE's news programs.

The Dutch series recounts the horrific accident of a Boeing 747 cargo plane from New York to Tel Aviv that crashed into a block of public buildings in the Bijlmer district, one of Amsterdam's most marginal neighborhoods. The official version says that the plane was carrying flowers, perfumes and computer parts. Six years later and thanks to the investigative work of a veterinarian and two journalists who did not give up in their efforts to clarify the truth, it was discovered that the El Al plane was transporting 240 kilograms of raw material for the production of sarin gas. This in turn explained the 43 deaths that occurred caused by the release of environmentally harmful substances, deaths that were systematically ignored by the authorities of the very civilized Netherlands. If we have to choose between truth and political profitability, governments are clear about it.
