The Dallas Cowboys defeat the Washington Commanders on Thanksgiving, but Dolly Parton steals the show with her halftime performance

The Dallas Cowboys celebrated Thanksgiving early with the team’s commanding 45-10 victory over the Washington Commanders on Thursday.

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott threw 22 of 32 for 331 yards and four touchdowns and was later seen on the sideline eating a turkey leg with offensive lineman Zack Martin with six minutes left in the game.

This game also made NFL history when Cowboys defensive back DaRon Bland intercepted Cowboys quarterback Sam Howell on the other sideline with 4:49 to play and collected the ball for his fifth pick-six. when a defensive player intercepted the ball and returned it for a touchdown – the year to set the NFL single-season record, six weeks before the end of the season.

“We still have a lot of games left, so who knows where he’ll extend that record?” Prescott said, according to ESPN.

However, it was country music legend Dolly Parton who stole the show on Thanksgiving and sent social media into a frenzy when she performed the Salvation Army’s 27th Annual Red Kettle Kickoff Halftime Show.

The 77-year-old performed some of her biggest hits, including “Jolene” and “9 to 5,” while wearing a Dallas Cowboys cheerleading outfit.

In addition to fans on social media, former Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was also visibly impressed by Parton’s halftime show on the CBS broadcast.

“She looks great, doesn’t she? She is wonderful. “Who doesn’t like Dolly Parton?” he said.

Broadcaster Jim Nantz responded, “She’s absolutely an American treasure, that’s for sure.”

On Thanksgiving, the Green Bay Packers opened Turkey Day with a 29-22 win over the Detroit Lions in the Motor City, while the San Francisco 49ers beat the Seattle Seahawks 31-13.
