A woman whose dancing career was brutally cut short when a love rival pushed her off the stage and broke her ankle has revealed how she waited eight years for revenge by posing as her attacker and canceling her wedding.
Landon LaRue, now 35, from Los Angeles dreamed of becoming a dancer from a very early age and joined a professional company at the age of 17.
But her dream was shattered when a fellow dancer pushed her off the stage because she was talking to a boy she liked.
As a result of the fall, she broke her ankle, which meant that she could not dance professionally, and she was kicked out of the troupe.
Now Landon, a digital marketing manager, finally got her revenge eight years later when she heard from a mutual friend that a love rival was getting married.
She then contacted all of the bride’s wedding agents just three days before the big day to cancel the ceremony, ruining the ceremony.

“It was my dream, so my mother gave me dance lessons to develop my talent.
“I finally got into a dance company when I was 17, but I skipped a year so I was the youngest there.
“The girl who pushed me was 20 at the time and I was talking to a guy she was in love with.
“We were just friends, I didn’t have a car, so he took me to church.

Landon explained that she was rehearsing on stage when a love rival ran after her, gave her a “cartoon hip slam” and pushed her off the stage.
“At first I didn’t feel anything because of the adrenaline, but then my ankle started to hurt and swell.
“Everyone thought I was overreacting until I started crying and they took me to the hospital.
“The x-ray showed that it was broken, and I dropped out of the dance troupe, as I had to recover for some time.
Now Landon, a digital marketing manager, finally got her revenge after eight years when she found out that a love rival was getting married through a mutual friend.
“It was terrible, but I believed that I would come back stronger and went through physical therapy.
“I went to university and danced as a backup, but I eventually realized that I wouldn’t be a dancer because I still couldn’t point with my foot – and still can’t to this day.
“I got depressed in my senior year and graduated early from college.
“I developed an eating disorder and a fear of heights, this incident ruined my life.”

She added: “The girl never apologized for what she did. I had fantasies about her falling off the stage, but I never actually planned to do anything.

Finally, one of my mutual friends at the company told me that she was a bridesmaid at her wedding.
“She was not even going to marry the guy for whom she pushed me off the stage and quit dancing to become a teacher.
“She didn’t even live the life she sacrificed my career for, and I was angry.
“My friend had a wedding album and left me alone with it.
“I photographed every page and got all the data about the sellers and their numbers.
“I didn’t know exactly what I was going to do yet, but I had what I needed.
“I waited and three days before the wedding I called all the sellers, except for the photographer, because they were members of her family, and refused.

“She had just given birth to her first child and felt empathy so she didn’t press charges.
“I moved on and I won’t do anything like that again, I’ve come to terms with it.
“This incident traumatized me for life and gave rise to a fear of heights and an eating disorder, but after many years of therapy, I have learned to cope with everything and will act differently.
“If I had time again, I would probably sue her for pushing her instead of plotting a long revenge.”
